Busy...

Wow... I just realize how busy I'm going to be this holiday. Got several things I need to settle by next semester...or at least try to get it done within the holiday.
  1. Work with David Ngui on his short films.
  2. Help out Drama Club with props for Tell-Tale Heart play.
  3. Football Club's Street Soccer Competition in August.
  4. Finish up assignments for 'expected-to-repeat' subjects.
  5. Photomedia Club's Greeting Card Design Competition.
  6. Astro-MSC ICT Competition.
  7. Remake a video project for its 2 Year Anniversary.

All that within July itself... Man... I'm so not gonna have any social life during that time. But I just realize I wont have any to begin with... since all of my outstation friends all ready went back to their respective towns by today.

No futsal and Movie Day for me.

Hmm....

FREEDOM!

Yeah!

Finish my exams... Now I can concentrate on my final year project thesis and the dvd.

Hopefully I could find some work to do during the holidays. Really need some cash... need new futsal shoes...

Actually I all ready got offered to be the 'boom-man' for some local film production. 'Boom-man' are those people who hold those furry things and hold them high in the air to capture the sounds of the actors and actress lines.

Yeah... I've alway wanted to start from below. Learn every thing from scratch.

This crappy Uni of mine did taught me what I needed to know.

I'll update more tomorrow.

Now really need some rest.

Selamat Pesta Menuai!

First of June came again…. Its time for the Gawai celebration. I’ve been waiting for this day since I went for last year’s Gawai. Wanna know why? Two words…'rumah panjang'.

One of my Dayak friends always celebrates Gawai at his kampong which happens to be a 'rumah panjang'. It’s a preety cool experience as I’ve never been to one. Last year was my first…now my second.

With Mr. Kee Kieng on the way to Tim's

This kampong happens to be an hour drive from Kuching city, that is if you’re using the shorter route. Last year we used a farther one and it took us more than 2 hour just to reach the place.

Arrival at Tim's kampong featuring Awang

Tim’s rumah panjang is kinda cool. Coz it’s one of those which have not been transformed into the modern rumah panjang which is made from bricks. Tims’ was all naturale… the bamboo floors…wooden walls… Last time there use to be a tree trunk stair but now it’s been replaced with a typical staircase.

Going up the long house

A different world...

Tim’s long house as Gawai as it can be. People dancing…Iban music playing at the background… the foods.

Group pic with Iban dancers and Tim(yellow shirt)

The foods served at Tim's (halal k...)

We went to 3 houses on the long house and another of Tim’s uncle on the way out of the village.

Reach town at around 9pm.

Tim’s was actually the 3rd visiting place we went to as earlier that day all of us went to Eve’s village some where in Kota Samarahan and then Anna’s house in Batu Kawa.
